Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is one of the most accessible treks in Nepal which offers the remote and beautiful valley of Langtang with holy lakes, spectacular mountains, and cultural insights. Located just 140 KM north of Kathmandu, this trek fits for any kind of age groups with good physical fitness. In this trek, you can relish eye-catching landscape, unique taste of Nepali Culture, and trek to Langtang region, along with the high mountain holy lakes at Gosaikunda. This trek lets you enjoy wonderful views of mountains towering on either side, ever-flowing rivers, pine forests, and mountain streams, rugged rock, and snow-capped peaks. Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek can be done differently but the combination of these two treks is more enjoyable, complete and full of adventure. 
 
Langtang Gosaikunda Trek starts with the sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in Kathmandu. Then we drive to Syabrubesi very next day which is a Tamang village located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi which is also a starting point of our trek. We start walking and we reach Kyanjin Gompa first and then climb Tserko Ri at an elevation of 4,984m the next day. We continue our trek enjoying an impressive view of Langtang Lirung (7,200m) range and other neighboring peaks. We keep on walking in the beautiful Langtang Valley and reach Gosaikunda which is a famous place of pilgrimage for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. After having the best time at Gosaikunda, We pass by a few more lakes on the way and cross the Laurebina Pass. You can even choose to go to Helambu Valley after crossing the Laurebina Pass. With so many amazing destinations and things to see in single adventurous trekking, this trek could be the perfect fit for your travel diary.

Day 1 :- Kathmandu Arrival

Our airport representative will pick you from the airport and direct transfer you to the hotel in Thamel.

Day 2 :- Kathmandu Sightseeing

On day 2. We take you to some of the historical sites located in Kathmandu City where you get to know about Nepali culture, religious importance and normal lifestyle of Nepali people. We take you to 4 major places: Boudhanath, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath, and Patan Durbar Square. Overnight in the same hotel. 

Day 3 :- Drive to Syabrubesi 1,550m

Today we head towards trekking start point of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. Most of the trekking of the Langtang Region starts from Syabrubesi only. We take rest at the lodge in Syabrubesi for today. 

Day 4 :- Trek to Lama Hotel 2,470m

Early morning we wake up and head towards Lama Hotel which is the most popular refreshing and rest point of the region. Before we enter Langtang Valley, we can stay here for a day and enjoy some of the beautiful landscapes from Lama Hotel. 

Day 5 :- Trek to Langtang 3,430m

Finally, we are going to enter the Langtang Valley today. Langtang Region is surrounded by Langtang Lirung from all sides so it looks even more beautiful and unspoiled. Overnight in Langtang. 

Day 6 :- Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,870m

Next day, we hike to Kyanjin Gompa and visit this historic and ancient Gompa. It is the most famous Gompa of Langtang Region. After enjoying Kyanjin Gompa history and surrounding, we decide to stay there for one more day. 

Day 7 :- Rest Day at Kyanjin Gompa

All day we can explore the surrounding of Kyanjin Gompa, take rest as much as you want as we are heading towards Gosaikunda tomorrow. With Himalayan Environment, you can enjoy a cup of tea watching spectacular mountains up so close to you. Overnight at the same lodge. 

Day 8 :- Trek to Lama Hotel 1,550 m

We again hike down to Lama Hotel and take a rest because trek going to be a bit difficult than before. It is a much-needed rest as we need to walk a few hours more from tomorrow onwards. 

Day 9 :- Trek to Upper / Thulo Syabru village 2,118m

Now our hike goes towards Thulo Syabru Village via rocky trails, terraced fields, grazing fields, and beautiful scenery. Today night, Thulo Syabru will be the stopping point for today. 

Day 10 :- Trek to Singh Gompa 3,254m or Chandanbari

The trail goes uphill on winding path above the monastery, we feel like gaining more altitude where we also get to witness views of Langtang, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Annapurna range towards far west. Then we continue walking to spend overnight in Chandanbari. 

Day 11 :- Trek to Gosainkunda 4,381m

Today, we follow a ridge mostly and witness a glimpse of the first of the holy lakes. The third lake, Gosaikunda (4380m), is a famous religious and cultural pilgrimage site for the Nepalese and is one of Nepal’s most sought after pilgrimage sites which attracts thousands of travelers every year. The lake is surrounded by mountains on almost all sides which is appreciated by everyone. Overnight in Gosaikunda.

Day 12 :- Trek to Ghopte Odar 3,566m via Gosainkund pass

From holy Gosainkunda, we start with a decent walk on a small path along the pond. We go mostly downhill on a steep and rocky trail and reach Ghopte Odar for an overnight stay. 

Day 13 :- Trek to Kutumsang 2,445m

Elevation starts decreasing as we walk downwards these days and we start feeling more comfortable than before. Gradual walk for few hours from Ghopte Odar lead us to Kutumsang for an overnight stay. 

Day 14 :- Trek to Chisopani 2,195m via Gul Bhanjyang 2,125m

We start our long day walk early morning towards scenic Chisopani. The trail is winding with few ups and downhill walks passing many rural farm areas, grazing fields and villages to reach Gul-Bhanjyang located on a ridge top. After a few hours of walk through the forest, we reach fresh, green and scenic Chisopani for an overnight stay. 

Day 15 :- Walk to Sundarijal 1,380m and drive to Kathmandu

On day 15, we walk towards Sundarijal enjoying the scenic view and fresh air of nature. We can see greenery everywhere on this trail. We will have lunch at Sundarijal and take a short drive to Kathmandu City for an overnight stay. 

Day 16 :- International Departure

This is your last day with Carena Treks, so one of our representatives will drop you to the airport for your flight back home.
