Nar Phu Valley Trek is a perfect trekking trail towards western Nepal for experiencing off the beaten track in Nepal which combines remote village of  Nar and Phu. Nar Phu Valley is heaven on earth for adventure lovers in the Himalayas. Leaving hustling and bustling of city life and comforts of your home, walking beside the spectacular Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains here feels always special. This trek leads you to two scenic high passes of Kang-La 5,240m  & Thorang-La Pass 5,416m with everlasting time on this high altitude adventure with beautiful panorama of high mountains that never been seen on other areas of Himalayas. This area is visited by a very few trekkers which are still rich in medieval Tibetan culture and lifestyle. Muktinath, famous pilgrimage site among both Hindu and Buddhist devotees is another major highlight of this trek. Best time to go on this trek is Apr-Oct. 
We start this trek from Besisahar which is the traditional starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. The trek quickly diverges from routes with more traffic area and into the remote Nar & Phu valleys. In this trek we get to see numerous peaks, glaciers, narrow canyons, passes, remote villages, colorful forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, Gompas and unique Tibetan cultures. This trek is definitely worth to try if you love true adventure and off the beaten path trek.

Day 1 :- Kathmandu Arrival

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, One of the airport representatives from Carena Treks will pick you and direct transfer you to the hotel on a private vehicle. 

Day 2 :- Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

Early morning after breakfast, we go to some of the most popular historical cultural world heritage sites located in Kathmandu Valley that includes a quick tour to Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 3 :- Drive to Syange 1,140m via Besisahar - 06 hrs

The private vehicle will pick you in the early morning from the hotel and we drive to Besisahar via the Prithvi Highway, following ever-flowing Trishuli River till Muglin and then we continue to follow the Marsyangdi River valley. After having lunch near a highway hotel, we continue our drive towards Syange via Besisahar. 

Day 4 :- Trek to Dharapani (1,943m) from Syange - 06 hrs.

We leave Syange behind and resume our journey towards Dharapani that takes around 6 normal hours. On the way to Dharapani, we will have lunch and keep on walking enjoying some good views of terraced fields and hills. Overnight in Dharapani. 

Day 5 :- Trek to Koto 2,640 m - 05 hrs

Non-stop trek to Koto from Dharapani takes between 5-6 hours. Overnight stay in Koto.

Day 6 :- Trek to Meta 3,560 m -06 hrs

Now, our trek leads north from main Annapurna Circuit Trail, so you can see beautiful forest blooming with rhododendron forest and the oak tree. The walk continues following Nar-Phu River and we will get several refreshing spots and pasture fields. After walking several hours, we reach a small quaint village called Meta where we will spend overnight. 

Day 7 :- Trek to Kyang (4,100m) from Meta - 06 hrs

Today our walk leads towards Nar Phu village around the remote and isolated area with some dry landscapes around. If you're lucky enough, you may encounter Blue Sheep’s, Musk deer’s, snow leopard and other wild animals. 

Day 8 :- Trek to Phu 4,580m - 05 hrs

Today, our trek leads us to our main destination Phu village with several ascending and descending trails. On the way, you get to see houses of Tibetan style with fascinating Buddhist culture. Overnight in Phu village. 

Day 9 :- Exploration day in Phu visit Samdu Choling and Tashi Monastery

Whole day 9 will be of cultural and historical sites exploration. We will visit Phu village, Samdu  Choling and historical Tashi Monastery. Overnight stay in Phu.

Day 10 :- Trek to Nar 4,110m - 06 hrs

Today, we go back to the same trail and we will descend towards Nar gorge at Phu Khola and slow climb to reach Yughat. Our next stop going to be a flat field at Nar Phedi where we will spend overnight. 

Day 11 :- Trek to Kang-La Base Camp 4,530 m - 05 hrs

From now on, we are going away from human settlement towards the unspoiled and beautiful area. With several ups and downs, grazing fields, rocky trails lead us towards Kang-La Base Camp. Overnight stay in Kang-La Base Camp. 

Day 12 :- Cross Kangla pass 5,322m and descend to Ngawal 3,650 m - 07 hrs

On Day 12, we cross Kang-La Pass at an elevation of 5,322m and enjoy the best view around Kang-La Pass. The view from there will make you forget all the pain and give you extra motivation for a further trek. Then we trek down towards N

Day 13 :- Trek to Manang 3,540 m - 06 hrs

On the way to Manang from Ngawal, we pass through isolated village of Paugh enjoying the amazing views of Annapurna range. On reaching Manang, we set up our camp for an overnight stay. 

Day 14 :- Trek to Yak Kharka 4,210m from Manang - 04 hrs

Early morning we leave Manang behind and go for Yak Kharka passing a few pastures, a scrub of juniper trees where we will start gaining elevation and walking few hours across grazing fields, mani walls, river, and the wooden bridge takes us to the small village of Yak Kharka. Overnight in Yak Kharka. 

Day 15 :- Trek to Thorang- La High Camp or Phedi 4,450m from Yak Kharka - 04 hrs

Today we walk towards Thorang Phedi which is a small busy settlement serving to the needs of tired trekkers and climbers. It is going to be a challenging day tomorrow, so it is the best place to rest and spend some quality time. Overnight stay.  

Day 16 :- Trek over Thorang La 5,416m | 17,769 ft to Muktinath 3,800 m - 06 hrs

Crossing amazing Thorong La Pass at a spectacular height of 5,416m/17,764ft is another major highlight of this trek. After crossing Thorang La Pass, we head towards famous holy site Muktinath. Overnight in Muktinath. 

Day 17 :- Trek to Jomsom 2,715m from Muktinath - 04 hrs

Muktinath is a famous pilgrimage site for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees and after having a good time in Muktinath we trek to Jomsom for 4 hours and spend overnight there. 

Day 18 :- Fly to Pokhara 860 m - 22 mins flights and transfer to hotel

From Jomsom, we take 22 mins of flight over flappy clouds that take us to the beautiful city of lakes, Pokhara. Our guide will transfer you to the hotel and you can roam around the lake side in spare time. Overnight in Pokhara. 

Day 19 :- Drive or fly back to Kathmandu

We drive or fly to Kathmandu after having a good lunch at a hotel in Pokhara. It takes around 6 hours on a tourist bus and around 30 hours on a flight. Overnight at hotel in Thamel. 

Day 20 :- International Departure

Our airport representative will drop you to the airport for your next destination.
