The Manaslu Circuit Trek is popular nowadays as a new trekking destination but it still sees less number of trekkers compared to other established trekking routes in the Annapurna Region. Manaslu Region and Mt. Manaslu [8163m], the eighth highest peak in the world is located in the western part of Nepal. It is no doubt that the trekking in the Manaslu is one of those beautiful and challenging adventure treks in Nepal. The magnificent views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks will reward you on the trek. This trek offers amazing mountain landscapes, glacial terrain, beautiful rhododendron forests, high mountain pass, and ancient monasteries. Manaslu Circuit Trek starts with quick sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. While on the trek to Manaslu Base Camp, we get to experience at the impressive views of Mt. Manaslu (8163m), the eight tallest mountain in the world, and opportunity to witness the rich local heritage and biological diversity of the region. This trek takes you all the way up to the highest point in this trek ‘Larkya La Pass’ which is popular to be one of the most dramatic passes crossing the Himalayas. This trek is demanding because of high altitude and rocky steep trail, so you need to have basic trekking skill and good physical fitness.

Day 1 :- Kathmandu Arrival

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, one of our representatives from Carena Treks will pick you and direct transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 :- Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today you’ll meet your trekking guide and city tour guide will take you to a short tour of Kathmandu that includes a tour to Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple and famous Hindu temple Pashupatinath. Overnight at the same hotel. 

Day 3 :- Drive to Soti-Khola 730m from Kathmandu City via Arughat 600m

Finally, we leave bustling city Kathmandu and move to Soti Khola early morning after breakfast on a tourist bus via Arughat. It is 7 hours of non-stop journey from Kathmandu City to Arughat.

Day 4 :- Trek to Machha-Khola 930m

From Soti Khola, we start walking following Budi Gandaki River upstream through many human settlements, crossing over Nuali khola with beautiful waterfalls and then cross a stream to Machha Khola for overnight stay.

Day 5 :- Trek to Jagat 1,410m

The narrow trail from Soti Khola makes some little ups and downs and crosses the Tharo Khola and reaching Khorlabesi. After gradual ascends and descends we come across a small Hotspring in Tatopani and cross another ridge and few hours of the walk takes us to refreshing stop for today at Jagat.

Day 6 :- Trek to Dyang 1,800m

Today we mostly climb over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descend to Sirdibas. Then our trail continues up to Ghatta Khola and walking upstream from Ghatta Khola to a long suspension bridge in Philim which is a large Gurung village takes us to Dyang.

Day 7 :- Trek to Ghap 2,160m

After walking uphill from Dyang, you will start feeling an increase in elevation and a little bit cold. We start to see the place influenced by Tibetan culture and tradition on reaching Ghap for an overnight stay.

Day 8 :- Trek to Lo-Gaon 3,180m

Again we follow Gandaki River and walk along Gandaki river through small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of wheat and millets to reach at Numrung village with a close glimpse of beautiful Mt. Manaslu North Face and adjoining peaks. We continue our walk passing few villages of Banjham, Lhi, and Sho and reach Lo-Gaon for an overnight stay.

Day 9 :- Trek to Sama-Gaon 3,530m

Our walk leads early morning through juniper bushes and some willow trees with an amazing view of peaks and finally, the day ends at Sama-Gaon for overnight stay. Sama Gaon is a large mountain village located on route Manaslu base camp

Day 10 :- Rest day at Sama-Gaon

We take a much-needed rest day for one more day at a mountain village, Sama Gaon for acclimatization with elevation. You can also explore around Sama Gaon, know more about Tibetan culture and lifestyle on this day. Overnight stay at the same lodge. 

Day 11 :- Trek to Samdo 3,860m

Today, we walk towards the last village of Manaslu area situated on the border of Tibet. In this area, you can find Tibetan people, Chinese goods and other materials. Overnight in Samdo. 

Day 12 :- Trek to Dharamsala / Larkya Phedi 4,470m from Samdo village

Morning walk leads us towards the more dry area and we start feeling gaining in elevation. Today we visit Dharmashala and Larkya Phedi at an elevation of 4,470m. Then take a rest for a while in a cozy lodge and stay overnight.

Day 13 :- Cross Larkya-la 5,135m and to Bimthang 3,720m

Today we cross Larakya La Pass, which is the highest point of our trek at an altitude of 5,135m and descend down to Bimthang for an overnight stay. From the top of Larkya La, you can witness some of the best views you can watch in this region. Overnight stay in Bimthang. 

Day 14 :- Trek to Gho 2,560 m

We continue descending as elevation decreases and we start feeling little easier and less tired than before. Gho village is located in forest area full of rhododendron, juniper and oak trees. Overnight stay in Gho.

Day 15 :- Trek to Dharapani 1,860m

This is our last day of walking as we walk mostly on trial of Tilje village on Marshyangdi River and reach Dharapani for an overnight stay.

Day 16 :- Drive back to Kathmandu

Finally here is the day, we go back to the normal busy life of Kathmandu with a scenic drive to Kathmandu from Dharapani on a tourist bus. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17 :- International Departure

This is the last day of Manaslu Circuit Trek so, one of our representatives will take you to the airport for your flight back to your own land.
